RHHS grads explore Biomedical Science

Several graduates of Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School have completed internships that allowed them to become more knowledgeable in their area of studies.

RHHS 2016 graduates Kayla Hasty and Myrandi Roper were paid interns this summer in the Biomedical Science Research program at South Carolina State University.

TICO expanding in Ridgeland

TICO, a manufacturer of terminal tractors and related equipment for the port, intermodal, and distribution industry sectors, will expand operations at Cypress Ridge Industrial Park in Ridgeland with the addition of a parts distribution center as part of their product support program, according to a news release.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville High boys basketball coach Jeremiah Faber was presented with a banner for winning his 500th career game. On Dec. 2 the Jaguars beat Colleton County 80-60 to secure the milestone victory.

He was also presented with a basketball trophy signed by the team. The awards were given on behalf of RHHS, the athletic department, superintendent Donald Andrews and the board of education. Faber was also selected at the district’s “Unsung Leader” during the superintendent’s administrators meeting. The honor is awarded to employees who exhibit extraordinary leadership skills.
