School district names new human resource officer
Diane J. Richardson has been hired as the Jasper County School District’s new Chief Human Resource Officer, the school district said.
Richardson, an Orangeburg native, is one of seven siblings. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, Ruby Jamison-Wright, by pursuing a teaching degree. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Claflin College in Orangeburg and received her reading and administration specialist degrees from Valdosta State University.
Richardson also received her doctorate in educational leadership from Nova University.
She has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and deputy superintendent.
Richardson is also on the Executive Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts Organization, assistant Governor of Rotary, and Lt. Governor of Optimist.
She volunteers teaching country line dancing.
