Thursday night football final: Ridgeland-Hardeeville 20, Allendale-Fairfax 12

Even a rescheduled game couldn’t slow down the Jaguars.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s contest at Allendale-Fairfax was moved to Thursday night because of Friday’s expected inclement weather, but the Jaguars didn’t let the change affect their play as they beat the Tigers 20-12.

The Jaguars have started the season 3-0.

RHHS’s Ronald Zimmerman had two touchdown receptions and Freddie Aiken scored on a 10-yard run.

The Jaguars led 6-0 after the first quarter. It was 12-12 at halftime. RHHS took a 20-12 lead with 11:54 to go in the game.

RHHS, which has outscored opponents 79-20 this season, has surpassed last season’s win total; the team was 2-8 in 2016.

The Class AAA Jaguars host Class AA Lake Marion (0-3) Friday, Sept. 8.

Lake Marion began the season outscored 109-0 in its first three games. It hosts Woodland on Friday.
